Daniel noticed what I was doing and asked, “Where are you going?”

“Out.” I said a bit harsher than I intended, opening the door. “I expect both of you babies to behave and not to break anything while I’m gone.”

“When are you coming back?” Mike asked

“In an hour or two, I don’t know. I’ll see you guys later.” I said more softly going out the door.

Getting in the car I backed up on the driveway and drove off. I didn’t know where I was going and I didn’t care either, I only wanted to be in a peaceful place. My life was changing to fast in so little time. Only a week ago I got to know my ‘dog’ was actually a werewolf. All the events that happened after that, like spending time with Daniel, both of us getting close, me falling for him, and him telling me he liked me and knew I liked him. Now a week past and I find myself meeting another werewolf. I never thought Mike would be a werewolf, but, hey, I would never think someone wasn’t human. It really got me thinking though. Meeting two werewolves in one week made me think of how many people I’ve seen, talked to, or walked by that aren’t human. Think about how many of your friends aren’t human like you think they are, like they pretend to be. Even someone in the family could be a werewolf, or maybe a vampire, and one doesn’t even notice. Like I said before, meeting two werewolves in one week really gets you thinking. I had passed the school, the park, the mall, and even more than half of the town like three times. Thinking about things made me lose track of time because it was getting dark and I hadn’t noticed. Going around in the little trip really made time fly and took a lot of gas out of your car too, it was almost empty. I started heading home, made a small stop at the gas station to fill up the tank and then continued on the way. While I got home I thought about some things Daniel and Mike had said and got to understand them. One of them was that Mike wasn’t in the same pack as Daniel because he was a loner. Apparently, from what he said, he didn’t want to listen to someone younger than him so he didn’t enter the pack, but something I didn’t understand was how could he be in the territory of the pack he didn’t want to enter? Daniel had told me that werewolves are very territorial so to me it didn’t make any sense on how a loner could be hanging around. Maybe I’ll ask Daniel later, I thought pulling up the driveway and turning off the car. I got out of the car and walked up the steps about to open the door when someone opened it for me. Daniel stood at the doorway not saying anything, looking at me with concern.

“I’m fine.” I told him going inside. He closed the door as I started walking up the stairs. I was thinking of slacking off the rest of the night in my room without anyone bothering me which kinda made me think about where was Mike.

“Mike’s sleeping in the guestroom. He was falling asleep on the couch so I offered it to him.” Daniel said awkwardly.

I stopped half way up to look at him. “I don’t mind if that’s what you want to know.” I said

He sighed, “That’s not what I what to know.” He said walking up the stairs to stand in front of me. “I want to know if you’re okay.”

“I told you I was fine.” I said and took a step up, but Daniel grabbed my hand stopping me.

“No you’re not.” He said softly. “I know there’s something wrong, I can feel it. Talk to me, Tyler.”

“What do you want to know?” I asked sighing in defeat.

“I want to know everything. Why did you leave all of a sudden? Where were you that you came back so late? Its seven thirty now. What are you thinking? ...Why don’t you want to talk to me?” he said giving me a hurt expression in the end.

I sighed, “Can I freshen up first?” I asked offering him a small smile.

He smiled back giving my hand a small squeeze before letting go. “I’ll be in the living room.” He said.

I smiled a thanks heading to my room, took some PJs, and went to the bathroom. My shower wasn’t long, but it wasn’t short either. I liked taking a few extra minutes to feel the hot water hit me and relax my muscles. Once out I dried up and put on my cloths before going down stairs. Daniel was waiting for me in the living room like he said. When he saw me he patted the couch for me to sit beside him. I went and sat down waiting for him to say something, but he didn’t. He only smiled at me and stayed quiet. I decided since he wasn’t going to talk I was so I started answering the questions he had asked me. Everything I had in my chest I got out answering his questions. It felt good taking the weight off my shoulders.

“And I’m thinking of how good I feel now after telling you everything.” I said, smiling at him.

“That’s good, but you forgot the last question.” He said with a small smile. “Why don’t you want to talk to me?”

I tilted my head to the side. “I’m talking to you now, aren’t I?” I asked confused

“That’s not what I mean. I mean before, why didn’t you want to talk to me?” he asked

I looked away from him and focused on the muted cartoons on the TV. “I don’t know. I guess I just want to keep some things to myself. It’s nothing against you.” I said and looked at him.

He smiled, “Is it a girl thing?”

“You could say that. We girls have to keep our secrets, you know.” I said smiling. Then all of a sudden Daniel leaned forward and kissed my cheek catching me by surprise. It left me blushing and with a racing heart.

Daniel gave a small laugh. “Now there’s my Tyler. I knew you wouldn’t be hard to find.” He said grinning.

I glared and punched his shoulder. “You’re such a jerk making me feel that way for your own fun.” I joked

He chuckled with amusement. “How about I add you up on the fun?” He said with a mischievous smile.

“How about no?” I said chuckling

“If I add you up you can enjoy the fun.” He insisted with a singing voice.

I smiled, “Alright. How?” I asked
